Photodynamic Theraphy (PDT) uses levulan (a photosensitizing medication) and blue light to treat the entire face or scalp for precancerous lesions. This FDA approved treatment is usually covered by insurance, and we are happy to pre-authorize your treatment. After PDT, the skin can be sensitive and scaly in the precancerous areas which heal with moisturizers in about a week, leaving smoother looking skin.
